Expanding Afterschool Meals in Your Community

Earlier this week, NLC’s Institute for Youth, Education, and Families held a monthly Twitter chat, an interactive communications effort inviting partners, experts, and novices to engage in a conversation on one of the institute’s initiatives.

This month’s chat focused on the Economic Opportunity and Financial Empowerment team’s work in expanding afterschool meals. NLC was joined by the Food Research and Action Center (FRAC) and the YMCA.

Over the course of seven questions, 60 minutes, and 140 characters, we heard from 24 respondents and achieved more than 11,000 overall Twitter impressions.
