On August 28, NLC’s Institute for Youth, Education, and Families held a monthly Twitter chat, an interactive communications effort inviting partners, experts, and novices to engage in a conversation on one of the institute’s initiatives.
This month’s chat focused on the Youth and Young Adult Connections Program’s work in rethinking jail use in American cities. NLC was joined by The Safety and Justice Challenge, Pretrial Justice Institute, Vera Institute for Justice, Burns Institute, Policy Research Associates, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
Over the course of six questions, 60 minutes, and 140 characters, we heard from 26 respondents and achieved more than 15,900 overall Twitter impressions.
