On July 26, we co-hosted a briefing with the Urban Institute to explore the role of mayors and city leaders in achieving better health outcomes through safe, affordable housing initiatives. Addressing Health and Housing: How Cities Are Making a Difference focused on emerging city-level affordable housing models and the role of data, partnerships, and financing models in advancing healthy housing approaches, among other topics.
To prepare for the event, we took to Twitter with our partners at the Urban Institute, the Green Homes & Health initiative, and NeighborWorks to share resources and perspectives on current issues we hope to tackle with our local and national partners in the culture of health arena. With the framework of six questions, 60 minutes, and 140 characters, we heard from 28 respondents and achieved more than 13,500 Twitter impressions.
